For more than 80 years, Dorn Color, Inc. has provided color samples to help leading companies in various industries increase sales. In a recent “Expert Answers” video interview, D.D. Williamson invited Dorn’s Director of Technical Sales, Cindy Gapter, to share her latest consumer color insights within the yellow and red families.
At a recent color trend workshop, “Yellow was more the green-yellow. We actually made it a green and an orange, so we had a marigold color,” explained Gapter.
“We also had . . . an acid yellow, where it’s a green-yellow but a little warmer than it’s been in years past,” added Gapter. The forecast yellow “has less of a sharp edge to it . . . so now the green-yellow is warmer and more usable.”
Red beverages with citrus flavors will trend toward a yellow red. For “more of a blueberry or berry type flavor,” blue reds are the direction, added Gapter.
