Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) and National Distributing Company (NDC) together mourn the untimely passing of Ron Bishop, a distinguished Key Account Manager for NDC.
“Ron Bishop exemplified the best of our strong relationship culture during the course of his successful career. His professional and personal relationships with co-workers, customers and even competitors were an inspiration to all. He will be sorely missed,” said Jay Davis, RNDC Owner and Board Member.
Bishop joined NDC in January 1990 as a Sales Representative and quickly advanced to District Manager, Assistant Division Manager and Key Account Manager overseeing a long and productive relationship with Kroger. His talent and success earned him widespread respect in the market, including competitors, and the name “Mr. Kroger.” For his superior service, he was called “one call Ron” by Kroger because one call was all that was needed to address any issues or requests.
“Those of us who had the privilege of working with Ron remember his infectious laugh and smile, as well as his genuine care and concern for people. His attitude was always ‘how can I help?’ and, more than anything, he taught us how to treat people the right way,” notes Fred Bleiberg, NDC State President. “We want to honor Ron’s distinguished legacy in the most appropriate manner and plan to make an announcement in the near future.”
