Icelandic Water Holdings hf, makers of the award-winning, premium natural spring water from Iceland, Icelandic Glacial, has announced a partnership with Ukrainian distributor of wines, spirits and beverages, Wine Bureau. Headquartered in Kiev, Wine Bureau will begin to immediately distribute Icelandic Glacial natural spring water to accounts throughout the Ukrainian market including Wine Bureau’s own Good Wine stores.
“We are very pleased to announce Wine Bureau as our latest distribution channel in the Ukraine,” said Jon Olafsson, chairman and co-founder, Icelandic Glacial. “The Wine Bureau’s vast knowledge and reach with the premium beverage category is unsurpassed and a natural fit when choosing a distribution channel to this great country—we look forward to providing the Ukraine with a true piece of Iceland with every sip.”
Renowned for its exceptional purity and environmental credentials, Icelandic Glacial™ is bottled at the source from the legendary Ölfus Spring in Iceland, providing customers with remarkably pristine water of the highest level of quality. The Ukraine represents the sixth (6th) new market for Icelandic Glacial™ so far in 2013 as the brand continues to grow throughout Europe and other regions.
"Wine Bureau is excited to introduce Icelandic Glacial throughout the Ukraine and into our key on premise accounts including Good Wine stores,” said Vladimer Shapovalov, Director and Owner, Wine Bureau. “We recognized the demand for a distinctive premium natural spring water in our market, and Icelandic Glacial Water answers these demands—with its Icelandic source, exceptional purity and state-of-the-art environmental sustainability.”
The source of Icelandic Glacial is Iceland’s legendary Ölfus Spring, a naturally replenished catchment zone formed during a massive volcanic eruption more than 5,000 years ago. The Spring has been deemed certifiably sustainable by Zenith International, Europe’s leading food and drinks consultancy. The Ölfus Spring produces water so pure that nothing is added or taken away. As a result, Icelandic Glacial possesses exceptional balance that is the envy of the industry, featuring a naturally occurring low mineral content and naturally high alkaline pH level of 8.4.
As a testament to its exceptional purity, Icelandic Glacial was chosen by Parfums Christian Dior as the exclusive hydration method, which is used in their Diorsnow line of skin-lightening beauty products.
Icelandic Glacial is distributed in the United States by Anheuser-Busch, which took a 20 percent ownership stake in the company in July 2007.
