Beer Up 4.5 Percent in Russia; Vodka 2.2 Percent

Sales of vodka and other spirits in Russia rose 2.2 percent to 1.625 billion liters in 2012, the Center for Development of a National Alcohol Policy told Interfax, citing preliminary figures. Sales of beer and beer beverages grew faster, increasing by 4.5 percent to 11.26 billion liters. (KyivPost)
