Looking to capitalize on the emerging popularity of spiced rum, Bacardi has added Bacardi OakHeart to its portfolio. OakHeart is created with amber rums mellowed in charred American white oak barrels to give this rum a hint of smokiness and a “velvet-like smoothness.” Choice spices such as maple, cinnamon, nutmeg, honey and vanilla are added to the rum, which is filtered through a proprietary process.
